The Queen of Hope Pageant(R) is not your traditional "beauty pageant." Dedicated to the philosophy that everyone has his or hew own sense of style and beauty, we are a "personal style" and "achievement" competition. We truly want to see your unique and special qualities shine!
Originally the National America Pageant, the name changed to accomodate the need for an international system. The Pageant also changed hands from Director Connie Bigelow to former Worldwide Pageant title holder and Worldwide Ambassdor, Dr. Effie Horning LPT, RN, DSH. Worldwide pageant directorship passed on to 2006 Ms Worldwide, Wendy Lindberg in 2007 as she began efforts to move the pageant to Minnesota in 2008. In 2009 the pageant again took name change to the already active program, The Queen of Hope and the program moved to it current home in Phoenix, Arizona and is still under the directorship of Wendy Lindberg.
In addition to the Queen of Hope Pageant, Effie's Phoenix Pyre Productions hosts several pageants aimed at the total person with proceeds benefitting different charities. Our "crowns for the cure" are not just for pageant delegates.
The Worldwide Foundation is a federally recognised 501(c)(3) and we welcome anyone who shares our desire to better the world community. The Crowns for the Cure(tm) was founded by Effie Horning in 1996 in comemmoration of her cancer birthday as a way of incorperating Pageants, delegates and their supporters into curing the stigma, fear and disease of (breast) cancer. Worldwide and Wueen of Hope are designated National Leadership Organizations through the Points of Light Foundation and the Presidential Volunteer Service Award. Our Service Excellence and Spirit of H.O.P.E. Awards are open to anyone.
Other Pageants include La Reina de Esperanza, Ms. Classic Beauty, Cosmo Ms., and Ms. Metropolitan These competitions were founded by Ms. Horning.
Whatever your size, shape, marital status, or passion, we have a program perfect for you. Some of our competitions are straight gown competitions, some photogenic, while others encompass the full gamut including talent.
As a special treat, we offer the life time appointment of Worldwide Ambassador to those who have held an international title in our systems, and exemplify the Spirit of H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People is Empowering) as well as the spirit of pageant comraderie and sportsmanship.
