H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People is Empowering) isn't about giving a handout.  It's not about "rescuing."  It's an interactive process in which all parties are empowered through the act of community service.

Those who provide the service find in themselves an appreciation and passion for who they are and their particular gifts. 

Those who receive the service find they are special and deserving of the riches life has to offer.  They generally return to provide service to others.
